Who is the Banco de la república?

The Banco de la República is Colombia’s central bank, responsible for issuing, managing and controlling the country’s monetary movements, as well as issuing the legal tender, the peso. It regulates currency, international exchange and credit, issues the Colombian legal tender, manages international reserves and is the lender and banker of credit establishments.

The client’s need

Banco de la República did not have a digital tool that centralised all the processes for the management of foreign trade (imports and exports for the manufacture of currency), on the contrary, they made use of independent tools that decentralised the information, which generated inefficiencies in the solution of the tasks and increased the probability of human errors. For this reason, a system was developed that would allow the Bank to facilitate management, bringing centralisation of information and agility among its processes, in order to facilitate the foreign trade logistics process.
