Who is Equidad Seguros?

La Equidad Seguros is a Colombian cooperative organisation made up of two insurance companies: La Equidad Seguros Generales and La Equidad Seguros de Vida. Vivienda Segura is one of the insurances that the entity has, which seeks to cover the family patrimony represented in the houses, for damages or losses that are caused as a consequence of accidents, natural phenomena or acts of third parties.

The client’s need

La Equidad Seguros, previously with Asesoftware, initiated the construction of a digital platform called Póliza E to unify its product portfolio to facilitate and streamline the processes of quoting and issuing policies, mainly for the intermediary user. The platform started with Autos, and the new product is now Vivienda segura. The idea is to be able to continue adding products offered by the insurer.

How we solved it

The project involved a thorough analysis of the client’s current situation and the identification of their specific pain points. This led to the meticulous development of a backlog comprising both functional and non-functional requirements, all derived from the identified areas for improvement. Using a systematic approach, each sprint was meticulously guided by a series of user stories, ensuring a focused and directed development process. In addition, the project involved the meticulous design of mockups, closely following the graphical guidelines established within the Cars for Policy E initiative.
